What did Galileo do?Galileo innovated the telescope greatly by making a glass lense that was able to see 20x further and clearer. With this new telescope, Galileo Discovered saturn and venus. He also discovered four moons around Jupiter. Interestingly, with this discovery Galileo was able to defend Copernicus's theory that everything in the universe revolved around the sun; rather than what our thought-to-be geocentric universe The Catholic Church believed it to be. Also Galileo timed the swinging of a chandelier, and found that each swing took the same amount of time, even when the pendulum slowed. Based on his observations, Galileo invented an object that used a pendulum to measure a human's pulse
